we now have a group and our group has an idea

our group has been decided and we have began moving forward with the idea of making a internet application that enables noobs and not so noobs (1337) to fid out more about current activities of clubs and societies of the UQ

this involves grabing twitter accounts of the clubs and placing them on our map... this idea collects all the orgainsations and puts them all in one spot, making it much more easier for people to find out about events that happen on a weekly bases or simply where each orgainsation will be hanging out

i've just finished designing and making the UQ st lucia map in flash... gonna work on the layout later and talk to the group in the next meeting about future progress

social software

this lecture today is talking about how social came about, starting from the origin to what the future might hold.

the lecturor mentioned about the studio group, and how the groupware (mindmiester) help solved the brainstorming problem... ha ha ha... the mindmiester worked pretty well... and another form of use came about... people started to  use it as an anomynous chat room, it ended up being so hilarious...

he mentioned the prison ___ theory... not sure what he was trying to get at, but it seemed rather interesting

st patricks day yesterday

last week, i've finished signing up to all the social websites, such as twitter, delicious, this blog and some other ones...

haven't moved much yet with the current assessments items, but it's slowing progressing

we're looking at cscw today... had a read about it before and it looks quite interesting
